Bosses Restaurant

Venue: Vivocity
High Tea promotion was on where the dim sum were all on 50% off after 2.30pm.

The restaurant setting was great. It seems posh and expensive at the entrance but it wasn't if you manage to catch its high tea promotion.

The appetizer : fried po-piah skins served with carrot and cucumber sticks. Interesting ain't? It's a fresh idea from normal dim sum appetizer.

Even the tea is served in glass tea pots and tea cups instead of the usual Porcelain ones.

The restaurant's 招牌菜: steamed bun with salted egg fillings.

There's always a reason for it to be the restaurant's 招牌菜. It's the first of its kind and it really taste delicious! The salted egg filling practically oozes out of the bun once you sink our teeth into it. Worth the try! In fact, we ordered two servings....

叉烧酥. The meat fillings is chunky and not too sweet; while the pastry skin is not too thick either.

Yam cake and steamed prawn dumplings.
The prawn dumplings was quite disappointing. The fillings is made up of prawn paste instead of having a fresh whole prawn wrapped in the dumpling skin.

Yam cake was slightly different from others. This was served with century eggs on top. Sadly to say, there wasn't many yam chunks in it.

Ohh... egg tarts. Luckily it wasn't too sweet.

Ahh.. The 叉烧 bun. This is really nice! Fillings has real meat chunks in it and it isn't too sweet for us.

Tried one of their dessert: 汤圆 in ginger soup. I love this!!! Their 汤圆 taste like normal ones (all happened to have black sesame fillings in them), but the ginger soup is another thing altogether. It's thick and has the spicy ginger taste in it. Shiok-dom!!!
